LJMS recently hosted players from Kilmer, Thoreau, and Longfellow middle schools for the 2nd Annual Cross-Town Kicks Soccer Tournament. Each school sent four teams to compete in a 16-team, single-elimination bracket. The championship game ended up being a matchup between two Jackson teams, with AC Melon taking the victory in penalty kicks.  For the second year in a row, the trophy with stay at Jackson!

Congratulations to Ms. Uriona, Ms. Carroll and Mr. Taft, who spent the past few months preparing our kids for the tournament and coaching them on championship night. Jackson athletes competed with honor and integrity, and were fantastic representatives of LJMS.  Also a huge thanks to all of the after-school staff and security staff, as well as our student volunteers from the Falls Church HS Sports Leadership Class who came together to make this event fun and safe for all athletes and spectators.
