FCPS recently sent nine engineering teachers and one program manager to the annual Virginia Technology and Engineering Education Association (VTEEA) Summer Conference. The group was honored at two awards dinners that recognized the achievements of its VTEEA members and teachers. 

Among the honorees were Jackson teachers Philip Kim, Mark Smith, Roni Breza (fifth, seventh, and eighth from left in the photo above), awarded Virginia Middle School Engineering Program of the Year.

In addition to the awards, conference participants attended professional development sessions on drones, renewable energy, software training, and other topics.
